01 · The treatment

What it is, plainly.

Biostimulatory fillers like Radiesse stimulate your body’s natural collagen production, improving skin firmness, texture, and structure gradually over time.

At Caridi Concierge, these physician-led treatments are performed by Dr. Caridi as private in-home visits (or in our Gowanus clinic), designed to restore lift and skin quality across the face, neck, chest, and arms without adding bulk or weight.

02 · Suitability

Best for, and not for.

Right for you if
  • Restoring midface, cheek, and temple volume with collagen support
  • Defining the jawline and chin with structural lift
  • Improving skin firmness on the neck and décolletage
  • Long-term skin-quality investment, staged over 6–12 months
  • Pairing with HA filler for an immediate-plus-gradual plan
  • Non-surgical contouring on the body (upper arms, glute)
Hold off if
  • Lips and tear troughs, biostimulators are not indicated for these areas
  • Wanting an immediately visible volumising result, choose HA filler instead
  • Pregnancy or active breastfeeding
  • Active autoimmune flare or recent infection without specialist clearance
  • Known allergy to product components (calcium hydroxylapatite, PLLA)
  • Planning face lift or neck lift in the next 2 years? Dermal filler is a better option in this case

Biostimulatory fillers are injectables that stimulate your body’s natural collagen production rather than simply adding volume. They gradually improve skin thickness, elasticity, and contour for long-lasting rejuvenation.

Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, biostimulatory fillers such as Radiesse use calcium hydroxylapatite or poly-L-lactic acid microspheres to trigger collagen formation. Over time, this new collagen builds a natural support structure beneath the skin.

You may notice subtle improvement soon after treatment, but the main results develop gradually over several weeks to months as new collagen forms. The full effect is typically seen by three to six months.

Because these fillers stimulate collagen, results can last up to two years or more. Many patients schedule maintenance treatments every 18 to 24 months to preserve collagen levels and extend the results.

Yes. When administered by a qualified medical professional, biostimulatory fillers are safe and effective. Side effects such as mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness are temporary. Since the product stimulates your own collagen, results appear natural and improve over time.

Biostimulatory fillers are ideal for restoring structure and firmness to the cheeks, jawline, temples, and lower face. They can also improve skin texture on the neck and décolletage. These fillers are not typically used in the lips or tear troughs.
